INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Somerset Estates collects two types of information, “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.”
At Somerset Estates, we hold data on file for each client and related project. This data contains information that you have submitted to us or we have had to obtain in order for us to carry out our Property Management Services.
We also require Personal Information for accounting purposes.
Personal Information also includes your contact information, which you submit when you make contact with us via email or telephone.
We collect non-personal digital data when you visit our website and social media platforms.
Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring / exit pages and URL’s, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks.
We mainly use Non-personal Information in the form of Cookies to help us improve track trends and analyse user patters on our website. Cookies enable Somerset Estates to analyse website traffic, to see website traffic and, which areas of the website you have visited.
USE OF INFORMATION
Somerset Estates uses personal data collected to operate services on instruction of clients.
Somerset Estates may forward your Personal Information to third parties that have been employed by us to undertake work on our behalf. We require companies to comply fully with the GDPR legalisation.
Personal Information you provide to us is also used to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to contact users in response to questions and inform users about our services.
We track information using cookies, or small text files, which include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to a user’s browser from our servers and are stored on the user’s computer hard drive. Sending a cookie to a user’s browser enables us to collect Non-Personal information about that user and keep a record of the user’s preferences when utilizing our services, both on an individual and aggregate basis.
We may use both persistent and session cookies; persistent cookies remain on your computer after you close your session and until you delete them, while session cookies expire when you close your browser.
HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorised access. We further protect your information from potential security breaches by implementing certain technological security measures including encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer technology. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such firewalls and secure server software. By using our service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.
YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING THE USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When we send communications to a user, the user can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional e-mail or by contacting us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Somerset Estates will only continue to store Personal Information if under requirements of the case, project or contract. After a case is completed we will continue to store Personal Information for a maximum of five years. We undertake additional security measures to destroy Personal Information.

ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Under the GDPR legislation, you have the right to access and amend any of your personal data that we hold.
We accept payment by BACS or cheque.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties.
Our standard procedure is to invoice clients monthly for professional services, with payment required in 30 days. Occasionally, prior to starting on a project, we may require to take an initial deposit.
