SOMERSET ESTATES & CORNFLAKE – DESIGNER DINNER – THE FESTIVITIES BEGAN IN TRUE STYLE

Earlier this month, we hosted the ‘Let the Festivities Begin’ dinner with our wonderful partners at  Cornflake, on Thursday 1st of December for some incredibly influential industry invitees.

Interior designers, Stephenson Wright, collaborated to create the most beautifully dressed Christmas-indulged table in the Cornflake boardroom.

The aim of this special dinner was, in part, to showcase how we, as partners of Cornflake and others in attendance, can collaborate in offering joint services, but more fundamentally to build and nurture our relationships with our clients.

Hosting these intimate events is proving to be thoroughly enjoyable and we are incredibly grateful for all the efforts of those who made it happen.

Stephenson Wright created  a magically festive and full display in a palette of red, cream and teal. Every place setting was dressed in a reusable Fortnum & Mason fabric cracker with red rick-rack trimmings. Vibrant red velvet bows adorned each plate with gold thread inscribed in the guests’ names.

Painted Nutcracker men and flocked reindeer added a traditional and whimsical feel, alongside sprinkles of snow, with clusters of walnuts and berries. The fabulous florist, Yoko Blooms, provided a bed of foliage and cotton tufts mixed with gold ferns and pine cones; in fully understanding the brief, we were thrilled with how exuberant and magical the flowers and foliage looked.

The team introduced layers of natural candlelight: tall, tapered candles in teal, small tea lights in silvered glass, and our favourite, Mrs Alice Pagodas, in two sizes, which added the variation of height to the tablescape.

The table was set and that left our co-hosts to kick off proceedings – Gary Lewis, co-owner of Cornflake and Philippa Somerset of Somerset Estates welcomed our guests over some wonderful drinks.

Guests included Natalie Stephenson from Stephenson Wright, Robert Cox from Adam Architecture, Randle Siddeley from Randle Siddeley, Laura Hammett from Laura Hammett, Sally Story from Lighting Design International, Diana Tran from Sotheby’s, Andrew Langridge from Chelsea Construction, Elaine Sheil from Candy London, Zaid Shuhaiber from Case e Progetti and Michael Fraser from London Hill.

The fantastic dinner itself was catered by the highly acclaimed independent restaurant, The Mayfair Chippy & The Holy Carrot, and it truly was a delectable feast!

The flowers were set to the theme by Yoko, who used an array of roses, ranunculus, anemones, nerines, blue thistles, ilex berries, red skimmia, gold asparagus fern, cotton, pines and pine cones, walnuts and viburnum berries.
